Maude Barlow is the national chairperson for the Council of Canadians– an advocacy organization focusing on environmental issues. She is a co-founder of the Blue Planet Project, an international project to challenge corporations’ taking private control of fresh water resources. She also holds leadership positions with Food and Water Watch, the International Forum on Globalization, & the World Future Council. Maude has received ten honorary doctorates, the Right Livelihood Award, and the 2009 Earth Day Outstanding Enviornmental Achievement Award.
