“Bringing It To The Table: On Farming and Food” Our relationship to the soil, to food, wildlife & nature; the importance of a nurturing community.
Wendell Berry is one of America’s most recognized “men of letters” as well as one of the early ‘pioneer’ farmers of organic, sustainable agriculture in our modern age. What Wendell wrote about 40 years ago, ignored as a Luddite at the time, is now the norm among the environmental opponents of big agriculture & the food industry. Wendell has written over 50 books and tomes including novels & novellas, stories, non-fiction works, poems & essays. After teaching English at New York Univ. in the early 60s, he moved to a farm- Lane’s Landing- in rural Kentucky, while periodically teaching at the Univ. of Kentucky. Since then his farm has served as a base to commune with the land, master the art of farming with the purity of food in mind, and to be inspired by our relationship to the soil, to food, wildlife & nature, and experience the importance of a nurturing community. “Bringing It To The Table: On Farming and Food”
