Lester Brown has been called “one of the world’s most influential thinkers” today. In India, he is known as the “guru of the environmental movement.” He lived in rural India, where he became intimately familiar with the relationships between population and food supply and he has served as an international advisor to the Secretary of Agriculture in the 60s.
