"Pentagon Papers" “The Most Dangerous Man in America” America’s strategy in Afghanistan, the Middle East, lack of transparency & truth in the Obama administration.
Dr. Daniel Ellsberg is a former military analyst for the Rand Corporation who released the highly controversial political documents that led to the unveiling of secrets, motivations, and cover-ups, behind the Vietnam war. His publication of the Pentagon Papers ultimately contributed to Watergate & the removal of President Nixon. Since then, Daniel continues to be one of the nation’s most outspoken anti-war activists, speaking out against our invasion & strategy in Afghanistan, American militarism in the Middle East & the humanitarian threats still looming from nuclear weapons. A documentary about him & the Pentagon Papers – “The Most Dangerous Man in America” was nominated for an Oscar. Daniel has received many awards, including the Gandhi Peace Award & the Right Livelihood Award. Daniel was among 131 protesters – along with Chris Hedges, Medea Benjamin & Ray McGovern -- arrested last Thursday in front of the White House for demonstrating in solidarity with war veterans for ending the wars in Afghanistan & Iraq.
