Prof. Paul Epstein is a medical physician trained in tropical public health and a director at the Center for Health & the Global Environment at Harvard Medical School. He has worked extensively in Africa, Asia & Latin America & oversaw the special 8 part series on health climate change published by the Lancet journal. He works closely with the International Panel on Climate Change, the National Academy of Sciences, NASA, the UNDP, & the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration in forecasting the health impacts of global warming & tipping points due to climate change. He is the author of many professional papers; his most recent book “Changing Planet, Changing Health: How the Climate Crisis Threatens Our Health & What We Can Do About It ” outlines the relationship between climate change & health for the general public.
