Dr. David Kessler is a former Commissioner of the US Food and Drug Administration, having served under the presidencies of Bush Sr and Bill Clinton. During his tenure at the FDA, he was instrumental in fighting for regulation of the tobacco industry, in protecting consumers about false label claims, and requiring the standardization of nutritional facts on food. He has served as the Dean of Yale University’s Medical School and the Dean at the University of California Medical School in San Francisco; his medical specialty is pediatrics.
