The Dark Mountain Project. Civilization's role in its own self-destruction- as well as the other species in the natural world; the "un-civilization movement"; strategies to create a better life for all.
As a journalist, Paul Kingsnorth has worked with the Independent in the UK, has been an editor for OpenDemocracy and Greenpeace, and was the deputy editor of The Ecologist. He has written for the Guardian, Daily Telegraph, Le Monde, New Internationalist, BBC Wildlife and contributed to various BBC programs. He is co-founder of the Dark Mountain Project. Believing that 'civilisation as we have known it is coming to an end, brought down by a rapidly changing climate, a cancerous economic system and the ongoing mass destruction of the non-human world', the Dark Mountain Project aims to bring together writers, artists and others to 'conjure into being new ways of seeing and writing about the world'.
